These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of sahlgems.com ("the site"), operated by Sahl Gems, the trade-supply division of Sahl Holdings Pvt Ltd, registered in Sri Lanka ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
The site and our supply are intended for gemstone trade professionals and businesses — jewellers, designers, dealers, and manufacturers — not for the general public or for personal, consumer purchases. Supply is offered to approved trade buyers, and minimum transaction values and verification requirements apply. If you are buying for personal use, please visit our retail channel, SapphireSource.
The site presents information about our business and the categories of sapphire we supply. Our live, current inventory is published separately on our stocklist at stocklist.sahlgems.com. Availability, specifications, and pricing change continuously; nothing on the site or stocklist is an offer capable of acceptance, and listings do not guarantee availability. Prices are not displayed publicly and are provided on application to verified buyers. Orders are placed by enquiry and are subject to our written confirmation, stock availability, and these Terms.
We deal only in natural, earth-mined sapphires — never synthetic or lab-grown — and only in stones that are unheated or treated by standard heat alone, with treatment status disclosed. Photographs and 360° imaging are produced to represent stones faithfully, but colour and appearance can vary with screens and lighting, and stated weights and measurements are subject to normal tolerances. Our treatment-disclosure and verification commitments — including laboratory verification before purchase and our refund policy where a stone is found to have been misdescribed — are set out on our certifications page and apply to confirmed sales.
Access to pricing and certain services requires an approved trade account. You are responsible for providing accurate information in any trade-access application and for keeping your account details confidential. Pricing, quotations, and terms provided to you are confidential and offered for your business use only.
All content on the site — including text, graphics, logos, the "Sahl Gems" and related marks, and the gemstone photography and 360° imaging produced by StoneViewer — is owned by or licensed to Sahl Holdings Pvt Ltd and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, or distribute it without our prior written permission, except that approved trade buyers may share individual stone links and imagery with their own clients in the ordinary course of selling our stones.
You agree not to misuse the site — including by attempting to gain unauthorised access, scraping or harvesting data, interfering with its operation, introducing malicious code, or using it for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these Terms.
The site links to third-party websites and services — including our stocklist, gemmological laboratories, SapphireSource, and Sahl Holdings — which we do not control and are not responsible for. Accessing them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind regarding the site or its content, including as to accuracy, completeness, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. This does not affect any warranty or term that applies to a confirmed sale of stones under our separate dealing terms or applicable law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sahl Gems and Sahl Holdings Pvt Ltd will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, business, or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the site. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, without affecting any mandatory rights you may have under local law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when they were last revised, and your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
